“What the fuck, Malfoy?” Ron bellowed. “Stop kissing her.” He rounded on Hermione then, his face screwed up in outrage and confusion. “What did you do that for?”
Dazed, Hermione blinked at him, absently thinking he looked a bit like a gaping fish.
“Oh,” Malfoy smirked. “I do apologize. I spent the summer at our French Chateau and kissing is a customary greeting in France.” He didn’t look remotely repentant.
“I didn’t see you kissing anyone else like that,” Ron spat bitterly, still eyeing Hermione suspiciously.
“Hm?” Malfoy asked, distracted, still looking at Hermione, his knuckles brushing her cheek.
Hermione felt hot all over.
