Summary
Shego wrapped her arms around Kim from behind. “I have to have my fun somehow,” she said. “Especially since my girlfriend still hasn’t told her family about us.”
Kim deflated and pulled away from Shego, turning to face her. “I will, I promise. Soon.”
“It’s already Christmas, Kim.” The teasing was gone now, and Kim felt cold inside and out.
“I know.” It was the only gift Shego had asked for this year, but it was so, so hard. Shego had already given her a present; the other woman had cleared out some space in her closet, added Kim to the security system for her house, and told her not to renew her lease. Kim still cried when she thought about it sometimes. And Shego had asked for something that was so simple, but still so complicated — she wanted Kim’s parents to know they were dating. “Before the end of the year. I promise.”
