"So... how is the Petrova thingy doing?" Colt asked, in an effort to kick start the already dying conversation.
"It's confidential." Stratt replied.
"Woah, don't give me too many details!" Colt joked. Eva stared blankly.
"She's not good at jokes," Ryland informed Jody and Colt. Eva turned her head towards him, slightly annoyed he had offered up information about her without her say-so, mostly charmed by his memory of their first meeting.

It's coltland AU except ive only read one other fiction about it and so am not well versed in the lore, #imakemyowndestiny. but i also am a strattland truther til i DIE (i just want to kiss sandra hüller but i can't so i live vicariously) so i needed to add them in of course. uhh but yeah the basic plot summary is that colt and jody are meeting ryland's new boss and they kind sense a vibe between them, and kinda put the gears in place for strattland
