Summary
Thoma almost fell back in surprise. He stared at the spot, thinking it to be some large insect that had found its way inside the plant. Yet as he drew closer, his eyes widened. It wasn't an insect, or a disease. It was a tiny hand. For a few seconds, all Thoma could do was watch as fingers thin as rice grains gripped onto the side of the stump. A second hand joined the first, and then at last, a little face appeared.
“Oh,” said Thoma. “You're a woman.”

When Thoma finds a tiny woman in the stalk of a bamboo plant, he has no idea what to do except take her home and keep her for himself.

lumineyTHIS WAS BEAUTIFUL. the prose, the build up, the conclusion… i followed lumine’s thoughts well and lyney’s distraught. he felt in character, and his little flirts with the traveller was so fun to read. absolutely adore the 2+1 format too.
