“It’s your hand.”
Mike recognises Will’s hand, the scar on the back of it, the callousness of it caused by all the years of holding a pencil - or a gun lately - everything that Mike would know anywhere. It’s Will. He doesn’t know who the owner of the other hand is, though, a much more slender one, the one which thumb presses to the inside of Will’s hand on the paper, the long fingers wrapping themselves around the familiar wrist.
“It’s just a drawing.”
Will is defensive, looking down at his lap and biting the inside of his cheek. Mike can feel his heart practically fall to his stomach, the unpleasant, familiar thought of he’s not yours making him freeze in his place. Will is defensive, this isn’t just a drawing. He likes someone.
“You have a crush.”

Will draws his hand interlaced with another one. Mike is definitely not losing his mind about it.

Dustin says proudly, getting a few groans, a full set of rolled eyes and some distant gagging noises - Will can bet money it’s Max - before continuing.
“Mike, what do you think?”
Will turns to face his best friend, who very pointedly avoids his eyes.
“I-uh. You know I haven’t been in a relationship since El.”
Lucas and El exchange a look - something that Will can’t quite place - something that feels like an unspoken pact of interrogation, before scooting closer to Mike, as if cornering him.
“That wasn’t the question, Mike.”

Nat stands impatiently, waiting to see if Lottie will side with her or the other girl in this stupid argument.
"She kinda sucks but... I don't know"
Nat looks around in disbelief, "That's because it's bullshit!! Maybe we could play like a fucking team and win like we have been, it's worked so far."
She doesn't wait around to hear anyone's response, storming off towards the locker room to cool off before practice.
