Summary
[Canon Divergence] After Regina is reunited with her darker half things in Storybrooke begin to settle down. Unfortunately, that’s not always a good thing. When she makes an abrupt revelation old vulnerabilities begin to resurface. However, she’s not the only one plagued with troubling thoughts. Together Emma and Regina help each other realize that you do not have to mutilate yourself to be accepted by others and prove your worth in the world; all you should worry about it what makes you happy.

“I wasn’t actually out on patrol,” he tells her, still panting. “I followed you here.”
“What? Why? ” Emma asks him. There’s a long pause where the boy seems to deflate. It’s like all his swagger disappears, and what’s left is a timid, impossibly young kid. Her heart races and she doesn’t know why.
“My name is Henry Mills,” the kid says eventually. Emma actually does stop breathing then. “I’m your son.”
