you take a job at a library, leading you to john. and he’s taken a bit of a liking to you. even though he’s worked there longer than you’ve been alive. you develop a friendship with him, giggling, sharing a set of earbuds from your mp3 player, and drinking terrible black coffee in between the bookshelves when neither of you have anything better to do. none of it makes sense to you, you’re the only thing that’s ever made sense to him.

Summary
After requesting a leave from the out-of-country gigs to due a mental health crisis, he was assigned to me and my incredibly stupid criminal doings. He felt a little offended at such a low-level assignment being given to him, but as he examined my case and started doing surveillance on me, he couldn’t help feeling…bad? Almost? Pity, but in a way that someone pities a baby deer getting hit by a car on the interstate. It shouldn’t have been in the damn road, but awe, it really didn’t stand a chance, did it?
