Summary
Turning Tav’s molten guts to ice, the walls began to rattle and breathe as if the House was its own living organism. Avernus itself seemed to quake, rumbling like a lion’s purr before it lunged to bite. Tav stopped in her tracks, wide, petrified eyes hurriedly scanning for the source. A blood curdling scream was forced from her lungs as rubble began to fall from the sky, the authoritarian cathedral pierced by a blast. Wings whipping cast a downward gust, sending dust flying into Tav’s eyes. Blinded, she instinctively guarded her face, curling inwards into herself. In the midst of the darkness, fire began to emerge. Red and yellow flames, embers sparking from the debris.
“Little mouse,” Raphael purred. “What do you hope to accomplish here?”
Or: Tav and the companions break into the House of Hope.

Summary
For the untold stories, for the families that could finally close the book on the murder of their loved ones, she should have felt relief.
Arm in arm, they swayed to the music of the live orchestra, baroque with chandelier overhead that horrifically—attractively, illuminated the beast’s watercolor eyes. What ran down the length of her spine was not relief, excitement to win, nor fear in the knowledge she gazed into death, it was the thought of poachers and pliers tearing out teeth when she found she didn't want to admit defeat.
Abhorrent. It was abhorrent, the charming smile the demon gave her going straight to her guts. They’d been playing cat and mouse for so long she felt she knew it as intimately as a lover. They were embracing like lovers. Maybe they were lovers in another life where she wasn’t the mouse, and it managed to unsheath its claws.
Past the point of return and ultimately accepting the gore on its ledger, Maryna’s cheeks blushed and she peered at it through fluttering lashes. Her tongue darted out to wet her lips. She leaned in and pressed her dampened lips to the shell of its ear.
“I caught you.”

Not that he's not grateful, but what he really needs is an instruction manual for everything that comes after.

Cas asks Dean to marry him, and Dean can't think of a reason to say no.

"Dean," Cas says calmly, gingerly sitting his fork down, and oh, this is gonna be a thing, Dean can tell. Sure enough, it is because Cas goes on to say, "What would you think if I suggested we get married?"
Dean blinks and swallows the food in his mouth, staring at Cas curiously. "I would think...you were either on drugs or going insane, why?"
"I'm not inebriated, nor mentally unstable."
"I—I…" Dean takes in a deep breath, then blows it out heavily. "Cas, you're not fucking with me, are you?"
"I'm not," Cas tells him.
"Okay," he says, "fuck it, let's get hitched."
"Thank you," Cas murmurs sincerely, then picks his fork back up and goes right back to eating.

Summary
Throughout the years, Dean had dabbled in his fair share of overindulgences—women, food, alcohol. Violence, even. When he needed something to do with his hands, he’d always known he could simply find any and all of these things at whatever local bar was nearby his and Sam's motel room.
And besides, the weight of a beer bottle against his palm doesn't really feel all that different from that of a gun’s grip, especially when the first time both of them had been placed into his hands had been by his father.
And he figures that the food thing came from his mother, maybe. Some of his earliest memories had been sitting at the counter in the kitchen while she cooked, thinking to himself that he'd eat whatever she put in front of him as long as they could be there, together, forever.
Or maybe he was always going to end up like this, and it wasn't his parents’ fault at all that he was fucked up.
No point in wondering. He'd never know.

"Right," Dean says eventually, gruffly. He looks down at his shoes. "I'm not gonna tell you how to live your life, man. It's—you know, yours. Do your thing, love who you love, whatever. I can't really stop you from loving me, if that's what you've decided to do, but I don't—I can't—"
"I know," Castiel murmurs, still just smiling a little, not looking heartbroken at all. "Don't worry about it, Dean, that's all I ask."
"So we're—" Dean risks a glance up, swallowing thickly. "We're good?"
Castiel hums. "We're good."
