Jihoon’s ex stood frozen in the doorway, clearly stunned. Then he lifted a hand and wiped the egg yolk from his face before giving Dohoon an angry look.
That was when Dohoon’s heart stopped. Like—actually stopped.
Because the man standing there wasn’t Jihoon’s ex. It was—
“Yah! Han Jihoon, you fucking dumbass!” Dohoon whirled around and screamed at his friend, who stood behind him making incoherent noises, visibly torn between running away and leaving Dohoon to die alone or dragging his ass back to Youngjae’s car.

“Is that why you’ve been acting like a brat? Because you wanted my attention?” Junghwan’s tone was sharp, almost cruel, making Youngjae want to whimper. He bit down hard on his lips, earning a click of disapproval from Junghwan.
“Don’t hurt yourself like that. You know how much it hurts my heart when you’re in pain.”
Youngjae’s breath hitched, eyes on the verge of closing again, when Junghwan said something that made his heart stutter and his thoughts vanish entirely.
“I can take care of you, Youngjae-yah,” Junghwan purred, voice low, smooth, and seductive. His eyes glinted darkly as his expression turned serious. “I can take care of you real good, if that’s what you want.”
Or: Youngjae has been acting like a brat. Junghwan finds out the reason why and takes matters into his own hands.
