Summary
His marred eye doesn’t match any pattern of mutation Singed has seen before, and Singed has seen plenty. He knows the runoff can distort flesh in a myriad of ways; many of them are fatal. With a wound like this, there is no way he should have survived. The infected skin crawls across the left side of his face, turning the skin ashy gray. The orange ring around his iris lights up his eye, a sharp contrast to the inky black seeping across the surrounding sclera. The wound should be much, much worse. It should have killed him. It shouldn’t be, by all accounts, as beautiful as it is.

Summary
There was always more to it with Silco, Singed found. There was more in the way Silco stole back the cigar, fingers entangling unnecessarily with his own before they departed. More in the way he sucked from the cigar, neck outstretched, waiting to release the smoke in a warm breath against the doctor's lips.
