Summary
Oscar stepped back, the distance left Lando feeling desperate; out of sorts.
“Wait, Oscar.” Lando reached for him. “Just–”
“Doesn’t matter.” Oscar said, turning to go to his room. “We’re teammates. Coworkers. Don’t need to worry about anything more,” Oscar said with a shrug. “Plane leaves in an hour. Don’t make us late again”.
Lando was left in the hallway, stunned and reeling from the interaction. He wasn’t used to this version of Oscar.
He couldn’t understand why he didn’t hate it.
