It takes a pillar collapsing for Kirishima to realise that their 'normal'—the shared breakfasts, the morning runs, the movie nights—was actually a promise. It takes three days of deafening silence for Bakugou to realise that he can’t keep his world standing if he's too afraid to touch the person holding it up.

That meant that for him to be unable to find a comfortable seat with enough room, he’d have to show up last.
When he knew he’d gotten the time right, he walked downstairs.
