-Believe it or not, this is one of the fanfics that was going to stay in my drafts, never to see the light of day because it was a "kill your darlings" kind of thing what with my standards...and then I remembered Nicole Maines's run on Secret Six had released a day or 2 after issue #4 came out, and also I wasn't homeless anymore. Still in a living situation where I could get kicked out or another attempt could be made on my life at any time, but hello again, Catshot nation. We're eating crumbs, but we sure are eating, and I've got a few ideas kicking around for what I could do with these characters in the future.

Summary
Jim Gordon is transferred to Chicago when he runs afoul of Gotham's corrupt cops. In an unfamiliar city with no allies, Jim forms an unlikely partnership with a mysterious young man named Trent, who isn't what he seems. They make a hell of a team. And, yes, Jim promised his wife he'd never stray again, but he can't resist Trent, who is beautiful and dangerous. Sure, Trent lies like he breathes about everything from his name to his nighttime activities, but Jim wants him so much it's driving him mad.
