Dustin rolls his eyes and looks over at Steve. It’s not like they’re being mean. They’ve just always done this. Steve has a mischievous glint in his eyes.
“Thanks for the beer, sweetheart,” Steve says to Dustin and then looks at Nancy. “Is that what you meant?”
--Or 5 times Steve and Dustin use pet names as a joke and 1 time they use them sincerely.--
