Summary
Bucky Barnes discovers the gorgeous dame next door, and also that she thinks he's the worst neighbor ever. He sets out to clear his name and suddenly his life of therapy appointments and workouts includes competitive pizza making classes, maintaining favorite customer status at the coffee shop down the street, more thrift stores than he ever wanted to know about, and somewhere along the way he loses his heart. Too bad Darcy isn't willing to let go of the whole 'worst neighbor' thing.

“I don’t want to go back,” she admits into the darkness.
Bucky’s chest swells with something he can’t quite put a name to and isn’t sure he’s quite ready to explore.
“You don’t know me very well if you ever thought that was an option. Or Steve, for that matter.” Bucky grins to himself as he brushes a hand over the top of her head before settling his chin on it. “In fact, you’re gonna want to let me talk to Steve first. He’s going to take one look at you and head straight for the door.” His grin fades before quietly adding, “I almost did.”
Darcy huffs, but he doesn’t miss the pain behind it. Her breath ghosts across his chest though and goosebumps dance along his skin.

Or, in which Darcy shows up at Steve and Bucky's after her boyfriend takes his anger too far. Steve, Darcy's closest friend, is away. Fortunately, his boyfriend and Darcy's newest friend, is there to pick up the pieces until Steve's return.

In which:
Darcy is lonely in London, waiting for Jane to come back from Asgard, is still unpaid, and is living off of the small retainer fee that is deposited into Jane's accounts and her perks as a sort-of Stark Industries employee. If she starts touring the labs and making friends while sneaking in for free coffee and food, well, no one has noticed yet, right?
Steve is not lonely, he's too busy to be lonely. But he is possibly struggling to connect, and really frustrated by all this technology stuff. And if he likes having a friend who doesn't know about and tip toe around his past, or expect anything from him? Who could blame him?
Stark Industries London yearns for the days when it was a force to reckoned with, and now it has received its first direct communication from Pepper Potts since December 28th, 2007.
