Summary

Summary

Shen Qingqiu is confused over his unexpected interest in the newest prostitute of the Warm Red Pavilion. The woman bears a striking resemblance to Luo Binghe and even shares many behaviors with him, but she's so obviously female that Shen Qingqiu doesn't know how to feel about it. It can't be attraction! He was never attracted to Luo Binghe! It must be guilt or some kind of other repressed emotion! And what is so damn funny that Shang Qinghua has to laugh like that?!

"Gege?" he says, stepping towards him reflexively. Then he stops, uncertain. His gaze sticks to Xie Lian’s feet. The boundary hangs between them, intangible, and yet inescapably real. Suddenly, Xie Lian finds it hard to breathe.
"It's nothing," he says lightly, feeling conspicuous in his nudity. That alone is enough to fill him with terror. "My – chest – it hurts a little, from Ruoye."
Hua Cheng's eyes flit to Ruoye and back. Xie Lian could have missed it if he'd blinked.
"Do you want me to step outside?" Hua Cheng asks quietly, eyes firmly down.
Does he? Xie Lian tries to take the question seriously, but his brain refuses to entertain it.
"No," he says after a few seconds. Slowly, honestly. No, he doesn't want Hua Cheng to leave. He never wants him to leave.
