They're back to whispering once more, but it's only right. The heaviness between them would only bend and crush them under the volume of words spoken out loud, if it's not already crushing them now. Hanbin feels the part at the realization that they're skin to skin, even if only for centimeters of it. It's nothing short of crushing, the feeling of Hao's pulse singing under the delicate flesh, its chilling warmth.
The fleeting thought that it doesn't feel like touching a person had always felt to him before. Where it had always felt like touching skin and bone and muscle, it suddenly feels like he's reaching past all of it and touching the very essence of the soul.
