So very well written! Entirely unique for its genre. Feels sincere, enveloping. It focuses on Harry's life and perspective, instead of mainly on angst, as some do. Brilliant, really!
And yeah, given what he's done, Dumbles is a complete jerk. -

A name believed to be long since gone was called once more. Bringing with it, heartache, betrayal, anger, grief, fear, hope and love. Harry had always hoped against hope that he had some family out there that wanted him but just didn't know about him. He dreamed that they would somehow find out and whisk him away from the Dursleys and he would have a real family. Even at 14 he wished for that reality, but it was always said be careful what you wish for because you just might get it.
And Harry…Harry got his wish. He just never in a million years thought that that family he dreamed of would be the Malfoys. Nor that he was apparently a twin!?
