Ghost couldn’t think of a way to respond so remained silent. He watched as Soap took a deep breath, knowing he was about to say something else.
“Look, Ghost, I don’t wanna argue with ya. Especially over something so stupid. If I had to take a bullet to get you then I would have, gladfully. What’s done is done. Let’s leave it at that.”
“Don’t say that, Johnny.” Ghost spoke, his voice quiet.
“Say what?”
“That you’d take a bullet.”
“I would, though.” Soap replied, fiddling with piece of bandage wrapper in his hands.
“Just… don’t. You said you’d be better than me, one day, Johnny. You can’t do that if you’re dead.”

The current arrangement, proposed by a ‘Yaga’, was that the college would support the Fushiguros financially. That had been the end of it. Their living conditions weren’t… financially sound, but what the hell, living with Gojo?
