Jeongin huffed and tried to buck Hyunjin off, though the vampire barely even budged. “Why do you call him hyung? You’re like decades older than him.”
He felt more than saw Hyunjin shrug. “He doesn’t know that though.”
“Yeah but he’s not here now,” he pointed out.
Hyunjin giggled. “Does it annoy you?” he teased. “That our little resident human is still older than you?”
“Only by one year,” he grumbled. “And no, it doesn't.”

Still, nearly four decades had passed since then with little more than veiled threats and small squabbles. Until now.
A few months ago, Wen Ruohan had named himself Chief Cultivator, it was as good as a declaration of war.

Summary
This diverges from canon before both of the couple's first times. Instead of Sheng Shaoyou and Shen Wenlang running into their counterparts, Sheng Shaoyou comes across Gao Tu as he goes into heat.
Sheng Shaoyou is experienced with omegan heats, and he thinks something is not quite right here. . .
Edit: this is basically a canon divergence that asks "what if SSY and GT became friends?" and runs with it
