It’s what he said to her after the Yiga ambush in the desert and she couldn’t breathe through her tears, caught in the idea that she was going to die. He broke every single protocol that was drilled into him by their fathers and curled around her in the sand, holding her in his arms until the knot in her chest loosened and she could tell him to let go.
I have you, he had whispered in her ear, speaking more than a word to her for the first time since the day of his assignment, You’re okay. I have you.
“Just one step,” she echoes, and takes it, stepping out onto the ice and slipping her hands into his.
OR
Before, Link teaches Zelda how to ice skate. After, Zelda returns the favor.

Once every thirteen years, the Gerudo throw a party. Zelda doesn’t remember much of the first time she attended, because it was a hundred and seventeen years ago and she was four. She does know that for three days, the entirety of Gerudo Town sits empty as its residents take to the multi-acre maze of tents and booths that pop up outside the entrance.
“No hangover, I promise, on all seven of the heroines,” Riju says, waving over a server with enormous glasses filled to the brim with a deep red drink. “Sav’eqas!” She exclaims, bringing the drink to her lips and downing nearly a third of it. Zelda turns to Link, who shrugs, taking a swig of his own, and she brings the glass to her lips.
