Will chuckled. “I’m here as one of the Anti-Leo-Valdez guards,” he leaned on the counter to Nico’s left, “Although I seem to infuriate you more than he does.”
Glaring at him, Nico assessed his own emotions about the situation. Sure, Will pissed him off, but— “I would rather be smacked in the face by a pencil case than a massive fucking bag of flour.”
Will didn’t laugh that time, to his credit. But his face was taken over by a massive fucking grin, simultaniously amused and infuriatingly self satisfied.
”Good to know.”

Nico, 17, is the son of the city's pastor.
Because of his father's strict, religious upbringing he finds himself completely sheltered. Among other things, he isn't allowed a phone, music, tv or time with friends in general. Because of this, he's an outcast at school.Will, 17, is your typical american teenager. He lives alone with his mom, has a pretty close friend group and likes music, pop culture and sports.
Being raised as an only child, without a father, he tends to be very responsible and aware, sometimes, even too wary for his own good.Nico, who needs a scholarship in order to get in college because of his economic situation, is failing chemistry, and so his teacher decides to get him into a peer tutoring program, and considering he's pretty skilled in the subject, Will ends up being his tutor.
