As Reo walks towards the doors of the classroom, he feels lighter. That went about as well as it could, despite the fact that someone else knew about his crush. He internally cringes at that word, feeling like a pre-schooler again.
His slightly pleasant demeanour disappears instantly the moment he opens the door, spotting the last person he wanted to see there.
Nagi is there, leaning against the wall with his arms folded against his chest and eyes cast down towards the floor.

“Hey, Reo.”
“Hm?”
“Would you date me?”
“Mm,” Reo says absentmindedly, scribbling out a misspelled word in his notes. It takes a few moments before the question actually registers, and his head whips up. “Sorry, what?”
“Would you,” his friend repeats, “hypothetically, date me?”
Reo blinks. Reo blinks again. The question continues to make zero sense. He puts his pen down.
“Um,” he says.
“Sorry, sorry,” Kunigami says with a sigh. “I’m going about this all wrong. What I’m actually trying to ask is—would you be willing to pretend to date me for a few weeks?”
“Oh,” Reo says, as if that makes any more sense than the original question. "Uh... why?"

or, Reo fakes a relationship with Kunigami, and Nagi is taking it well. really.

Or, the fic in which Nagi is jealous when Reo dates someone else and mistakenly comes to the conclusion he's homophobic, and proceeds to go to all his gay friends for help.
