Summary
In one world, Kim Dokja listened to his mother and read the story again. He devoured the same words over and over again until they were embedded into his retinas, until the stories made a home in his brain and stayed there. He consumed books like they were his lifeline and they gave him the motivation to live just one more day, until he found something else worth living for.
In that world, Kim Dokja found a family that he loved and a family that loved him back, but only after years of suffering and heartbreak and constant sacrifices that he was always happy to make. In that world, Kim Dokja may have been an only child, but he found his family and he was, first and foremost, a reader.
But this is not that world.
In which Kim Dokja learns to hate reading, but he still manages to find his protagonist.

“Shut up, we have much more pressing matters at hand.” Han Sooyoung whispers aggravatingly. She turns back to Dokja, schooling her expression into something a bit more amicable before approaching him. “Hey kid, how old are you?”
“Um,” Dokja looks at her warily. “Fifteen.”
“You look eleven,” Yoo Joonghyuk squints, feeling an unnecessary urge to feed this child.
Yoo Joonghyuk meets Kim Dokja in the body of a child and realises a few things about their past.

Summary
“Looks like I bit you.” Will tilts his head to get a better look. All Mike can do is stare at him. His fluffy hair at the front, clumped pieces at the back where he’d slid his fingers in a mere few minutes before. His pretty green eyes that look hazel or even brown in this light, the dark circles he gets when he drinks framing them like intricate paintings. A satisfied, bloody smile.
Mike isn’t satisfied. He swallows thickly, choking down the words 'don’t you want more?'
Or: Will dresses as a vampire for a college halloween party, but Mike thinks his costume isn’t bloody enough. Will lets him fix it. Mike goes into a crisis.

When Will accidentally hands Mike a personal sketchbook instead of a school notebook, he may as well have just handed Mike a full confession. Will realizes just a tad too late. Mortified, ashamed, Will flees to Castle Byers. Mike follows.
It's a sweet coming-out story with a happy ending, yo. Because Will Byers deserves a good day, okay?
