And summer camp, oddly enough, can be a perfectly fine place to have mostly kind of genuine conversations, or at least as honest and genuine as Jared can get. This can occasionally be helpful for idiot boys who love each other.

“Okay, hold on. Back up, Ev.” At least Jared wasn’t laughing. Tentatively he released his grip on his backpack, instead reaching out to settle on either of Evan’s shoulders. “So.. like, you keep waking up, but it’s today?”
