There’s a rustle of sheets. A faint, sleepy noise, then Jake shifts and props himself up with one arm, blinking slowly. “Hm? Heeseung?” His voice is thick with sleep, gentle. “Is something wrong?”
Heeseung shakes his head, even though it’s kind of a lie. “I think… I think my preheat’s starting.”

“Alpha,” Heeseung wails, the word breaking on a sob. Tears keep falling down his cheeks, but they turn messy and hot in seconds.
Ni-ki’s eyes meet his, full of so much love and care it makes Heeseung’s chest hurt in a new way. “I’m here, pup,” Ni-ki says softly, thumbs brushing away some of the wetness on his face. “It’s okay.”
Jungwon moves then, climbing onto the bed and knee-walking closer until he’s right there too. “Oh, baby,” he murmurs, aching voice low as he takes in the mess of Heeseung’s nest and his flushed skin. “Look at you.”
