Summary
Of one of the few memories of his mother, Kurt distinctly recalls what she would tell him every night before bed, "You make your own destiny. Do not let others decide how your life will be. Only you can write your story." Kurt held onto these words, never becoming a believer in fate or destiny. When a stranger with larger than life abilities comes into his life, Kurt's whole perception of the world is thrown off balance. There is more to this world and his own history that Kurt could never even have imagined. There are secrets in his past and present that may hold the key to preserving not only his future but the future of everyone else around him.
