this fox... andrew did not have the heart to kill it. for such a small, solitary animal to come this close to his farm... it must have been near-mad with hunger. this close, he could almost count all its ribs, heart aching at how it lacked the strength to run away even after its leg was freed. it was shivering in the early morning chill, looking pitiful enough that he knew it could not possibly survive more than a day or two, even without the broken leg.

So needless to say, Andrew was pissed when he found out that Nathaniel and his girlfriend were transferring from the ravens to the foxes. But it doesn't take long for Andrew to suspect that Nathaniel was not as picture-perfect as he seemed to be.
