“Blight, something is wrong,” her black-haired friend declared. “Tell me. Please be honest.”
She wanted to telll her, to be honest, but she couldn’t focus at the moment. The intensity in Willow’s voice matched with the strength in her tone arms that were wrapped gently yet firmly around Amity’s torso made her feel giddy and girlish. Their noses were about to rub up against one another and she could feel the exhale of Willow’s face slide off of hers. So, if Amity were to be honest, she would have to say:
“You’re really close to me, Willow.”
Or a rather quiet evening in which Amity realizes she is in love with her best friend.
