December 11, 2278. My name is Sienna Robinson. I am a citizen of the New California Republic. I enlisted in the service in 2275, according to my papers. I was recruited as a sniper during basic training and joined the First Reconnaissance Battalion. The doctor says I was one of the best.
A few months ago, I suffered a head injury during battle. I have lost my memory. The doctor says I am suffering from acute retrograde amnesia. He said it means I got a head injury so bad that I cannot remember the last few years of my life. I do not remember any of my service, anyone I served with, or where I went during service.

Summary
Craig Boone has nothing going for him anymore. His wife was dead. Along with his unborn child. His friendship with Manny was over. The only thing keeping him going was the desire to bring Carla's betrayer to justice. With Jeannie May Crawford's death leaving him unsatisfied, Boone is offered the chance to help one angry, half-dead courier on her quest for revenge. Boone travels back to the city where he met Carla and across the Mojave desert where he faces the ghosts of his past.
He doesn't deserve redemption. He doesn't deserve happiness. He doesn't deserve to still be alive. He doesn't deserve to be traveling with the Courier, and he knows it. He's just lucky she needs someone to watch her back, and that she even puts up with him.

Boone thinks nothing good can come his way, he doesn't deserve happiness, and his death will come soon. He doesn't deserve to be traveling with Six and he knows it, he's lucky that she even puts up with him.
She teaches him otherwise.
