Summary
Once close friends, god of healing Chan and god of war Changbin had fallen out centuries before. While Changbin turned to hating Chan for his powers and his nature, his horde of demons reflecting his feelings for Chan and the world to see, the god of healing couldn't do the same. Instead, he was left hurting and doubting himself, trying to do good by taking all the sorrows of his worshippers into his heart and their wounds on his body, yet incapable of healing his own painful longing.

"It's okay baby, you can cry all you need. I'm sorry it took him dying for me to find the courage to come back for you. But I'm here now, and I'm not letting you walk down that aisle." The voice shook him out of his floaty state. It was his own, there was no denying that, just a fraction lower, and a whole lot more confident. No tremor whatsoever, he didn't even think it was possible to hear such a thing.
And yet here it was. Him...almost him.
"Let me take care of you, Channie? Let Chris take care of everything now" Older Chris sounded so calm and comforting that Chan almost started crying again, in some strange form of relief. He suddenly felt so safe as Chris slipped his engagement ring off of his finger and threw it across the room and interlocked their fingers. Almost identical, less bitten nails though, Chan noted, none in fact.
"Please.." he heard himself whisper, as if he was afraid that if he spoke too loud the vision would end and he would wake up having dissociated through the ceremony.

Older Chris comes back to save younger Chan from an unhappy marriage that he had to live through and to teach him self-love and self-acceptance, literally.
