Florence is the first girl to ever be sent into the Glade. She gets off to a rocky start after punching Gally in the face and hiding in one of the lookout towers. She eventually lets her guard down enough to let him up so he can bring her dinner and wrap her now broken fist. She takes a letter out of her pocket which reveals that she is just the first of many girls who will be joining the gladers.
