Lily and her friends cheered as usual, hoping to finally catch a flying shirt.
Until James Potter, star swimmer and golden boy, turned around to face the audience and locked eyes with Lily.
She stopped her cheering in surprise, and he fucking winked at her.
Winked at her under those glasses, pointed straight at her, and tossed the rolled-up shirt directly to her.
It was only on instinct that she caught it, her friends so shocked at the exchange that they didn’t even make a grab for the shirt. They were too busy staring at her, jaws dropped.
Then, if they weren’t well and truly shocked already, James Potter then smiled and threw up his hand to his ear and gestured call me, mouthing the same, before turning back around to high-five his teammates and return to the bleachers, blessedly tugging their clothes back on.
