Summary
Sara Ryder, having found an unknown burden of responsibility thrust upon her shoulders, has done what she can to make her crew feel comfortable and at ease, even in the face of her inexperience. The crew of the Tempest has come to be a family, closer to her than even her blood relations. Her feelings for one crew member is shallow and, as far as she's concerned, a crush that won't lead to anything. Confronted with the thought of harm coming to Jaal, however, forces Ryder to reclassify what she's feeling.
