Jeongguk was growing quickly for his age, more than just physically. His vocabulary was expanding, personality showing more, and he was figuring out new ways to break into the cabinet that hid the jar of candy. His parents were also noticing more qualities that Jeongguk was obtaining from them. Him and Namjoon could often be found together listening to old records, or cuddled together outside on a blanket, simply appreciating the moment they were in. Jeongguk was developing a stronger love for collecting items (his current obsession was Pokemon), and trying to imitate Seokjin’s baking skills.
One of Jeongguk’s new developments was his love of kissing--both giving and receiving. The toddler had to have a certain amount of kisses each day or he was cranky. He wasn’t shy about hunting down Seokjin and Namjoon if they failed to fulfill their quota.
But there was another thing Jeongguk loved besides kissing or being kissed, and that was when his parents kissed each other.
At first they found it odd, but then Jeongguk explained it in a way that made sense to only babies and some adults. Kissing was one of many ways to show someone you loved them, that you cared for them, and Jeongguk liked seeing his parents in love with each other because it made him happy.
So every time Jeongguk was kissed, he made sure to pull Namjoon and Seokjin close, tiny hands gripping their shirts and baby voice instructing them to “ gotta kiss now .”
Namjoon and Seokjin were always happy to oblige.
