Snowflakes drifted down everywhere.
Silent, delicate, and slow, they drifted down from the heavy clouds above, catching on rooftops and branches, dissolving briefly on warm skin before they could settle.
The landscape had already surrendered to winter. The fields lay bare, blanketed in fresh white that sparkled faintly beneath the pale morning light. Trees stood in silence, their skeletal limbs frosted with ice, each twig trimmed with a fine crystal lace.
Boots crunched through the untouched powder, each step sinking slightly, leaving behind crisp impressions that would soon be softened by the snowfall.
As Kim Dokja neared a corner, he saw a huddle of black fabric on the ground. He looked closer, and noticed a messy heap half-buried in the snow? It was definitely alive. It was moving. And Breathing. The messy black locks on the hair… That was without a doubt, Yoo Joonghyuk, but smaller, like the time he was surrounded by the smaller Yoo Joonghyuk when he was kidnapped by Secretive Plotter.
