Summary
Assistant archaeology professor and adventurer Cassian Andor is tasked by US government officials David Draven and Monica Mothma to sabotage the Nazi efforts to find the Ark of the Covenant in Egypt. They fear its mystical powers might bolster the military might of Nazi Germany, led by the sinister Paul Patine.
However, Andor is not the real expert on the subject. So he travels to Nepal to speak with his former Professor Galen Erso, who spent years of his life on the search for the Ark. Arriving in the Himalayas, he learns that Galen died two years earlier. But the artefact that he seeks is in the possession of Galen’s daughter, Jyn, with whom he had an affair years ago.
Together, they embark on a journey that will bring new friends, old enemies, mystery and the adventure of a lifetime...
