    Time is too fleeting to be buried under sadness and sorrow. Merlin may be haunted by grief and prophecies to villainous acts, but he's still got a beating heart. Of course, as a creature of the Old Religion, it doesn't stop beating—but everyone else will eventually cease to exist. It’s his job to carry on their legacy.
