Summary
"Billionaire Bruce Wayne had been recently admitted into Gotham's general hospital after a fatal encounter with three armed men near Pedgington Road in the Fashion District. His adoptive son, Richard Grayson, had reported the incident after 1am. As of yet there is no new information as the situation is still under investigation. Commissioner James Gordon had this to say, "
The TV screen runs a clip of Gordon's sleep-deprived face, flushed from the cold of the night, surrounded by a mob of flashing lights and microphones.
"Bruce Wayne is getting the best care there is to offer. It is still unclear what the damages are, but we have everything under control."
The screen pans back to the determined female reporter.
"Gothamites are still unsatisfied and left with questions- how was this possible? Who were the offenders? And where was Batman? I'm Vikki Vale, and this is Gotham News."
New beginnings aren't always a good thing.
