After fighting off Seiji, Kaminari Denki was pooped. Pooped! He didn’t know how Katsuki had the energy to take down the other kids taking the exam!
“Sigh! I need to lie down! No more turning into meat balls until the exam is over, okay?” Denki told his friends. “That was enough drama to last me until the next manga arc! Kirishima?”
Denki blinked when Eijirou looked at him like that, with sharp teeth and the intense look in his eyes that he had when he thanked Denki for saving him and Katsuki from Seiji’s freaky quirk.
“H-hey I’m sorry man, I was only kidding! Of course I’d save you and Bakugou a second time! Hey!” Denki squeaked when Kirishima prowled towards him, as he thought his friend was gonna body tackle him out of vengeance for his smart comment!
Instead, Kirishima wrapped his arms around Denki’s neck and gave him a big, wet smooch on the cheek, much to the electric boy’s surprise.
“You were so unbelievably cool and manly!” Kirishima said in a husky voice when he broke from the kiss, his cheeks turning a dark colour. “I love dudes who stand up for their friends! I can’t wait until we pass the exam and become heroes together!”
Kirishima’s blush was contagious.
“Oh! Hahaha, well I wouldn’t say manly…” Denki tried to deny it and play it cool, but he couldn’t break away from Kirishima’s intense and adoring gaze, which made small pulses of electricity shoot around his body like small displays of fireworks.
And this unfortunately didn’t go unnoticed by Bakugou.
“Oh…” Katsuki had finished beating up his opponent and was ready to take on the next one. “Look at what we have here! Two love birds!”
“Uh oh.” The mocking tone of Katsuki’s voice was the only thing that could have made Denki turn his gaze from Kirishima.
“HAIR FOR BRAINS AND DROOLY SITTING IN A TREE!” he sang at the top of his lungs as he mercilessly kicked the asses of the other students to the tune of this classic ditty from the school playground. “K-I-S-S-I-N-G!”
“Bakugou, cut it out!” Kirishima said when he saw Denki turn red for a different reason.
“FIRST COMES LOVE! THEN COMES MARRIAGE!” Bakugou ignored him.
“Bakugou, I swear if you don’t behave yourself!” Kirishima said, but this threat went unheeded by Katsuki.
“THEN COMES KAMINARI AND KIRISHIMA WITH A BABY CARRIAGE!”
“Oh!” Denki made angry, strangled noises but if he knew that if he challenged Katsuki to a fight to defend Kirishima’s honour – he’d lose. “When we go on our first date, he’s not invited!”
Kirishima quirked an eyebrow and flashed a toothy grin over the sound of Bakugou’s maniacal laughter. “Date?”
Denki blushed again for the right reasons.
“Well…” he chuckled. “Once we get this exam over with?”
“I’d love to.” Kirishima said when he took Denki’s hand, and they charged off to join Bakugou in battle.
Even if Denki didn’t pass this was still. The best. Hero license exam. Ever.
