Summary
Six centuries is a long time to mourn the loss of a loved one. But when there are no answers to the mystery of that loss, the healing never begins. Humans are not Vampyres. They are not eternal. Their fires burn bright and then snuff out all too fast. This fire has no right to still consume his soul. It's either a miracle or an unfathomable cruelty, and he'd prefer not to know which.
