Pairing - Snape/Horace Slughorn
Genre - post war, hurt/comfort, romance, colleagues to lovers, happy ending
Blurb - Horace Slughorn takes care of Severus Snape after the war. Slughorn is really optimistic about life. Snape not so much. So Slughorn cheering up Snape is fun and ridiculous. But it's a fic with a heart.
"The sunrise over Lebanon! Gondolas in Venice! Thirty-seven kinds of cheese on a French mountainside and then back home for hot chocolate with a roaring log fire!" He left a pause, to let it all sink-in. "Come, m'boy. Make a start at life. - Come to dinner." Horace was exhilarated at his own words. He felt warm and bubbly inside, just at that opportunity to be enthusiastic.
Why should you read it? After reading the intense fics in the list it's time to treat yourself to a great post war gentle fic about healing with a happy ending. Nothing unpredictable or dark in this one! This is a great aftercare fic. Maybe a before care fic if we are talking about the fic following right after this.
