Chapter Text
Leorio was cooking dinner while the kids played in the living room. He was about to cut the carrots when he heard Gon yell, "Oreo! Killua smells funny." The black-haired man smiled and walked to the living room where the boys were sitting on the floor in front of the center table coloring their coloring books. The white-haired boy was grimacing and looked embarrassed, and when he saw Leorio, he turned pink.
"It's not true," he whined.
"It is," Gon said, raising his right hand with the purple crayon.
Leorio softly argued, "Gon, don't make fun of Killua," but the boy made a face and mumbled, "Sorry." Leorio shook his head and knelt next to the boy.
"Can I check?" he asked softly.
Killua looked more embarrassed and shook his head furiously, "I'm fine!" he cried.
Leorio took a breath, "It's okay if you're messy, buddy, but I need to get you changed," he tried to explain softly. The boy shook his head again, and tears showed up in his eyes. Leorio knew that Killua was ashamed when he needed a diaper change, and it happened every time, so he waited patiently.
After a couple of minutes, the boy murmured something.
"What was that, buddy? I can't hear you," Leorio said.
"I want Mom," the boy said in tears.
Leorio smiled, "Okay, I will call him," he said, petting his hair.
He walked to Kurapika's office, where his husband was working on his laptop. "Hey, Killua wants you to change him," he said. It was pretty normal for Killua to ask for Kurapika, especially when he messed himself. The blonde one looked at him and smiled, "Coming."
They came back when the kids were still in the living room, and Kurapika picked Killua up. "Come on, baby, you're going to be like new soon," he said, walking to the boys' room. The boy wrapped his arm around the blonde's neck and hid his face.
Leorio bent over next to Gon and saw what he was coloring. It was a circus book, and there was a picture of a clown. "That looks cool!" he said, sounding happy to make the black-haired boy smile at him.
"Thanks!"
Leorio nodded absently, "I think I told you not to make fun of Killua when he needs a change," he said carefully. Gon looked at him with big eyes.
"I didn't. You know him! If I don't say anything, he won't!" Gon protested.
"That's true, but just try to be more discreet and don't scream it out loud, okay?"
"Ok!" Gon gave him a big smile.
"So, can I check on you?"
Gon smiled again and nodded, jumping off to stand up. "I'm dry!" he said proudly.
Leorio smiled too, "Let me see." The adult unbuttoned the kid's pants to show a dry pull-up. "Hey, good work! Did you go potty?"
Gon made a face and shook his head. "Let's go now." He waited for his kid to nod before picking him up and walking to the bathroom.
