First part of my ongoing project "Book of Hunters", in which I reimagine the entire events of all of Hunter x Hunter. Starts as a mostly faithful novelisation of the events described in the manga and the two anime adaptations, but slowly evolves into its own story that is more inspired by the original medium rather than adapting it.

Along the way, they meet an eclectic cast of characters like the mysterious Hisoka, determined Kurapika, kindhearted Leorio, and plucky Gon. As they probe deeper into the supernatural nature of the town, even more mysteries arise, and the siblings soon realize the only people they can trust are each other.
