Elevator Love Letter

Summary:

Katsuki & Deku have a history with elevators.

This was a prompt fill that happened to end up tied into the Blood Moon world.

Work Text:

“God, you’re heavy,” Deku said as he grunted, hefting Katsuki’s arm over his strong shoulders as he walked him into the elevator of their apartment building.

Katsuki’s snorted a laugh and pushed Deku against the wall as the doors dinged closed. His linked his arms around Deku’s neck and leaned in heavily, burying his face against the crook of Deku’s neck. He smelled like really good barbecue from the place they’d just been.

“Y’never complain ‘bout that when I’m on top of you,” Katsuki mumbled into Deku’s warm skin.

“Well, I’m usually getting something out of it, then,” Deku said, a chuckle rumbling his chest.
With an mmm, Katsuki nuzzled his head beneath Deku’s chin like a cat rubbing up against its master.

“Don’t even think about it, handsome,” Deku said, patting Katsuki’s back none-too-gently. “You’re not passing out in me half-way through.”

“Like hell I would!” Katsuki jerked his head up, knocking Deku’s chin. Teeth clacked together loudly.

Ow, Kacchan, what the –“

“Stupid Deku,” Katsuki said, cradling Deku’s fed-up face in his palms and pinning him with a glazed-over look. “Don’t get in the way of my head, you’ll hurt your face.”

“If anyone should – dammit, you’re a beast,” Deku said, slapping Katsuki off of him with a frustrated huff of laughter. “If anyone should be careful, it’s you. I swear you’re liable to get me killed when you’re like this. Every time.”

HAAH?” Katsuki gaped. “Fuck that. Fuck you.”

Deku raised an eyebrow, his smile confused as he looked to the side.

“Uh –“

Katsuki enveloped Deku’s entire head in his arms, squishing Deku’s face against his chest as he laid his cheek upon Deku’s wild curls.

“I’d die for you.”

“Here we go again.” Deku ducked down, slipping from Katsuki’s tangled grasp as the elevator sounded the fourth floor. “You’d only die to haunt me, anyway.”

Course I’d haunt you in the afterlife,” Katsuki said, scowling as he followed Deku from the elevator. His shoulder slammed into the edge of it, sent him spinning into a wobbling 360, then about-faced as he proceeded to follow Deku to his door.

“Your keys,” Deku said, holding out his hand expectantly.

“Hey,” Katuski said, starting to topple, and lucky for the wall that allowed him to slouch against. He grinned, loose and crooked when Deku invaded his space, his head dipped as he searched Katsuki’s pockets for keys. “’S the thought that counts.”

“Are you still talking about haunting me?” Deku said, keys jangling in his hand as he returned to the door and clicked it open.

“You’d love it,” Katsuki said, still delighted at the thought as he allowed Deku to curl an arm around his waist and guide him in to his apartment. “You love me.”

“I’m pretty sure you once told me that was my problem. I’m now inclined to agree.”
