Summary
Two years after the routine that ruined his career, Izuku Midoriya is still chasing the old confident version of himself. After years of failure, his coach suggests a different method, a new perspective from someone who can push him past his limits.
What Izuku gets is Katsuki Bakugou, disgraced hockey player, clawing his own way back to the ice and the boy Izuku left behind years ago.
Working together was never part of the plan.
Neither was falling back into each other.
Note: Small edits made on 5/6/2026. Mostly some grammatical, small mistakes. But while writing chapter 9, I realized I forgot to state a bit of an important trait for Aizawa that will be referenced in chapter 9.

Summary
Inseparable childhood friends Midoriya and Bakugou always dreamed of together becoming Music Stars just like their favorite Rock Star All Might! Sadly, life had other plans for Midoriya and they drifted apart before high school.
Bakugou attended the famous UA school and became a Rock star known as Dynamight!
While Deku kept being just a normal, unknown person.Still, Deku was Dynamight's number-one fan! He goes to all concerts but never tries to talk to his old friend for fear Kacchan won't remember him... However, during a show one night, Bakugou locks eyes with Deku in the crowd. Dynamight's voice gains a previously unheard passion and he does not break eye contact with Deku. Maybe, just maybe, does his dear Kacchan still remember him after all those years...?

So, well. Maybe he’s really not that confused about where things had gone wrong because even if the rest of the night had been absolutely perfect, which, as he recounts, he realizes that maybe it hand’t, that last absolutely imbecile performance would have brought it all to a screeching halt anyway.
Or
Izuku watches his relationship burst into flames before his very eyes and finds that he's the one holding the lighter. He's not as upset as he probably should be.
Note: This is a post-canon fic and while it's obviously going to be end-game bakudeku i'm not trying to throw any shade or hate at Uraraka, sweet cinnamon role that she is.

Summary
The warm glow of crackling firelight bathed Kacchan in hues of burnt orange, accentuating the flush staining the high planes of his cheekbones even as his mouth remained curled in a scowl. Perhaps it was the thick, murky fog that was still clouding his judgment, but the only thing Izuku could think was that he looked ethereal.
The pointed ears nestled in his unruly mess of blond spikes were pressed down flat against his head, betraying the sour mood weighing over him like a thick, smothering storm cloud.
Even as Izuku’s labored breaths quickened again, all he could do was stare at him.
OR: When Izuku wakes, bloody and beaten, in a snow-filled wasteland, a familiar face arrives with a pup in tow to bring him to safety. A world of herbal magic, hybrid creatures, and familiar faces tethers him to a reality that isn't his own--but as Izuku struggles to find a way back home, a certain Kitsune stays by his side, fiercely loyal and sharp-tongued as ever. Will the Kacchan of this winter world take him back to reality, or will Izuku fall into the comfort of a life that could've been?

Summary
Izuku let out a scandalized gasp. His hand moved faster than he could realize and he slapped Katsuki.
The noise that had been surrounding them until now disappeared instantly and it seemed to Izuku everyone was holding their breath. Katsuki seemed too stunned to speak, his head tilted slightly to the side, his cheek already starting to bloom pink where Izuku’s slap had connected.
“Do you know what you just did?” Mistuki asked, her voice calm and controlled, but Izuku could see her hands tremble. He was sure it was from anger that he had slapped her son, but he simply couldn’t bring himself to feel sorry.
“I am not apologizing or taking it back!” he said, surprised by his bold declaration.
“So, you stand by your decision?”
“Yes.”
“Wonderful!” she exclaimed. Izuku’s mouth fell open and he gaped at her in confusion.- Language:
