They’re not together. But Kacchan gets in his space. Bullies his way onto Izuku’s part of the couch cushion, steals popcorn from Izuku’s bowl. Kacchan didn’t bother to get his own, he said he doesn’t like it.
Izuku’s cheeks are warm. “Do you want me to get you some?”
“There’s plenty,” Kacchan says, and as if to make his point he grabs a piece of popcorn and pops it right into Izuku’s mouth. “See.”
or: They’re not together until they are, and apparently Izuku is the last one to know it.

Summary
Katsuki made a meek attempt to turn the device on to see if it still worked, but it was useless – the phone was dead.
Great. They were stranded in the fucking desert, with no means to call for help.
“Oi, Deku”, Katsuki shakes the boy’s shoulder, trying to wake him up. “C’mon, you’ve slept enough. Wake up”.
For some reason, that works. Deku’s eyelids flutter before they open, and Katsuki sees Deku’s hazy gaze meet the sky, eyes unfocused. He blinks a few times and tries to wet his lips before he looks around, empty eyes locking on Katsuki.Alternatively: Bakugou and Midoriya are in plane crash. Bakugou has to take care of Midoriya and help him survive.

His mom won’t stop badgering him about confessing to Izuku or whatever. Confessing sounds corny as hell.
She doesn’t understand that he likes what they have. He’s content with the sleepovers and the hand clutching his arm on the train and the curls brushing against the skin under his chin when they sit on the couch.
This is the one instance he’ll ever settle for less. Insisting on more might lose him Izuku and that’s not— he’s fine with less. He can make do. He’ll make do even if it tears him apart from the inside out and sends his guts spilling on the floor. He’ll make do until it’s his heart on there beating one name, three syllables.

Katsuki wants more. Maybe he'll get to have it.

He’s balancing on the ledges of the flooded sandbox with his arms out, trying not to fall when a familiar looking red, blue and yellow ball bounces over the ledge and lands in the water with a splash. It bobs on the surface of the water, floating around before finally settling in the middle.
“Oh no!”A whiny voice exclaims, sounds of gravel crunching beneath little light up All-Might themed velcro sneakers getting louder and louder, “My ball…”
Katsuki points at the ball, “That’s yours?”
The kid— he has dark green curly hair, sparkling eyes and cool little dots scattered across his face, concentrated on the bridge of his nose and his cheeks. Katsuki doesn’t know what they’re called and it pisses him off.
A lot of things piss him off.
