Breaking! Dispatch reports Birth of a New Star Couple Namjin

Media outlets have stirred attention once again for BTS. This new scandal involves none other than BTS leader Rap Monster and eldest member Jin.

During BTS’s latest You Never Walk Alone Preview Show the members are shown playing a number of games and introducing fans to the new album. BTS members played twister and it seemed that the youngest member, Jungkook was staying true to his nickname of Golden Maknae by bullying and beating eldest member Jin. Overall the show had several memorable and funny moments, but it was the last 10 minutes that has netizens in an uproar.

The seven members go around and select a punishment for the loser. Unfortunately due to time they rush the game and end up playing paper, scissors, rock in order to determine the loser. Much to the chagrin of the eldest member Jin, he found himself to be at the short end of the stick.

In a moment of karmic excellence Jin’s roommate Suga selects the punishment he wrote down: Kiss Rap Monster on the cheek.

Rap Monster drops his head embarrassed as the rest of the member’s die of laughter.

Jin then askes Rap Monster if he wants all of them to kiss him or just one person. (By all he means Jin, Suga, and Jhope the three losers of the game) Rap Monster says he’d prefer not to do it, but Suga says to hurry and starts to stretch his hand in preparation for the game

Then the moment of truth comes and in just two attempts the loser is selected. Unfortunately for Jin, he was the one to receive the same punishment he had wrote down. (Oh Fate how funny you are) While seeing a fellow member kiss the leader would insight laughter, we are certain Jin never thought he’d be the one facing the punishment.

Jimin and Jungkook quickly help Rap Monster up and hurry the process along. Jungkook then pushes Jin down so he’s on his knees facing the camera. There was plenty of laughter and slight confusion regarding who is kissing who?

Is Rap Monster kissing Jin or is Jin kissing Rap Monster?

Rap Monster settles the dispute but dropping to his knees and saying, “I will get a kiss.”

Jin then exists the frame and complains, “why me?”

Rap Monster argues (quite convincingly that he did not lose the game so he shouldn’t be the one to give the kiss) Eldest member Jin starts to freak out and begs to be forgiven breaking out into nervous laughter and rubbing his hands together.

Rap Monster then hurries Jin saying to give him the punishment already, aka kiss, because they’re running out of time. The maknae line shuffles around hurrying the kiss along and saying that if you can’t hear the kissing sound it doesn’t count.

Eldest member, Jin gathers his resolve and slaps himself in the face three times then kisses Rap Monster on the cheek. Afterward, BTS members all disperse from view.

Before the show ends, Rap Monster is heard saying that it’s nice to get a kiss from a handsome guy, and we couldn’t agree more. They end the video once more talking about the new video and the concerts coming up, but not before member Hoseok mentions that Rap Monster looks a little lost after the kiss.

While a few months ago there was an alleged kiss that had the internet buzzing, we can now confirm that a kiss has happened. This time video, gif’s, and pictures of their intimate skinship have gone viral immortalizing the event. Media outlets have been buzzing with this Namjin kiss (Nam is the first part of Rap Monster’s real name Namjoon and the –Jin is the last part of Seokjin’s full name) as Rap Monster and Jin are now being called.

While initial reactions to the show were favorable, BTS is now under fire for possible inappropriate behavior.

Many netizens are questioning Jin and Rap Monster’s reaction to the kiss especially if they’ve been roommates for seven years now. Some are critical of the overreaction saying it was just for views and fan service while others are saying that perhaps there is something more interesting happening between the two members. They point specifically to the dates, Jin and Rap Monster have been on, the on stage skinship, and Jin selecting Rap Monster as his celebrity crush. (Please see other articles for detailed information.

ARMY have shed tears, ink, and keystrokes and engaged in some epic battles for this group and other kpop fans as well. Being a Kpop fan is not for the faint of heart.

The Kpop world is no stranger to skinship, Pepero kisses, paper passing mouth to mouth games, and member bonding time. There has long been a history of these kinds of interactions for fan service and some would argue just natural behavior. Because Korean culture and idol social norms specifically are different and under constant scrutiny, it has become common to question and criticize any male idols’ sexuality sometimes even before considering their talent.

Before anyone comes for me, I want lay the ground work.

First, this author wants to formally state that there is nothing wrong with being gay or having a sexual preference of any kind. Any combination that leads to love and mutual affection is a legitimate relationship.

Second, these guys are all human and have lives so we should be careful about how we speak about them. Yes, I am calling you out (Imagine **Insert member name here** coming home to you and you’re naked part of the internet) There is a line between appreciating their work/being fans of them and then the dark side of the internet where rational thought and the real world stops existing.

HOWEVER,

Third, we cannot and should not assume heterosexuality everywhere because that is not the reality for everyone.

With that said, it is not offensive to ask whether there might be something going on between two idols. I am thinking about you GDragon and Dara fans! Remember the alleged kiss that almost broke the internet? Also where are all my Song Song couple fans? There was once at time people ignored your arguments towards their relationship.

If Namjin, real or not, only the future will tell, or perhaps never tell. The reality is only seven people know the truth of the intentions and reaction to the kiss whether it was for fan service or not. I think the test here is IF one of them was of the opposite sex but the interaction, event, and reaction was the same would it still be interpreted as a possible romantic connection?

If your answer is yes, then let me formally introduce you to the world of shipping.

Although proceed with caution there is a lot out there and remember E is not for Everyone. (It’s for explicit)

Enjoy and this author cannot wait to see what Namjin has in store for us next, but what do you guys think? Was the reaction to the kiss just for fan service or could it be as some ARMY are whispering and there is something more going on between Rap Monster and Jin?

**
Sejin got to the conference room first and started to set up the paperwork for the material the BTS team needed to review.

The boys had just dropped a new album and there would be concerts, music show appearances, interviews, and shoots to coordinate. Sejin was the main manager for BTS but he was not the only one. There were four of them and they still struggled to keep BTS’s schedule contained, organized, and coordinated. Sejin started working with the BTS since Boy in Luv.

Sejin smiled as he remembered checking in on the guys and asking what they’d like to eat. The look of puzzlement on their faces was the most adorable thing in the world and Sejin knew he was trapped. The more Sejin experienced firsthand how much BTS cared for each other, loved each other and had faith in each other the more he believed in them. They would reach the stars and the success BTS had reached so far was nothing compared to what they could do. Sejin checked his watch the rest of the managers would be trickling in next.

Sejin looked up to see Hyunsoo walk in, “oh hello Idol Manager.”

Hyunsoo who had performed with Jimin and Jungkook on KBS National Idol Singing Contest said nothing. Although he had done a good job, great actually, Hyunsoo was constantly embaressed by all the love ARMY had given him.

Hyunsoon picked up the scheudle and started flipping through the pages, “so we’re never going to sleep again?”

“What is sleep?” Sejin said with a smile, “I have never heard of this strange activity you speak of, but someday I hope to practice it.”

“Or you can keep up a nice social media life like Hobeom…”

“Oh shove it… I haven’t posted in forever,” Hobeom took a sip of his iced Americano and sat down.

“No,” Hyunsoon said, “since you took pictures with the guy’s trophies.”

Hobeom rolled his eyes but said nothing. “Where is Jimin’s manager anyway?”

“Ahhh the tiniest manager is here,” Sejin waved Jigaemae in with Sanghyung on his heels.

“Alright gentlemen let’s settle down and figure out this schedule,” Sejin sat down and they started attacking the schedule like the well trained soldiers they were.

After an hour and a half of organizing and dividing tasks it was all, knock on wood, mostly taken care of.

“Alright everyone so you have your tasks if anything changes or comes up make sure to let me know we’ll figure things out,” Sejin waited to get a nod of approval from everyone before asking the question that always made his heart sink. “So any comments, concerns, or problems with the guys? Speak now or forever hold your peace.”

Sejin went around the table and Sanghyung shook his head, Hobeom said no along with Hyunsoon, but Jigaemae said nothing. Damn it, Sejin thought.

“Out with it Jigaemae what is it.”

“Honesty I don’t think its anything,” Jigaemae said straightening his papers.

“Out tiny one, what is it?”

“Is it something with Jimin?” Sanghyung asked already concerned with ten different problems and solutions already running through his mind.

“No, no its nothing with Jimin or the maknae line…. Well ok it kind of has to do with them.”

“Out with it,” Hobeom said impatiently.

“Well here,” Jigaemae pulled his cellphone and passed it around to an article titled “Breaking! Dispatch reports Birth of a New Star Couple Namjin.”

Sejin waited patiently until the cellphone finally came to his hands and he skimmed through the article. He, of course, knew about Namjin. It had come to his attention after the award season had ended last year.

It had started when Namjoon and Jin had gone the wrong way towards the stage and Namjoon had turned around taking Jin’s hand. The Namjin couple drama moment was what the fans had called it. Sejin had looked up what Namjin was and it ranged from they’re so cute to full on they’re fucken dating rants.

“Ok,” Sejin said simply and handed the phone back.

“Well what do we do?”

The other managers looked at Sejin.

“We do nothing,” Sejin said simply.

“But won’t this hurt the guys,” Sanghyung asked.

“It could not… I mean based on the article it seems like this might be really popular,” Hyunsoon added.

“That is why we will do nothing and besides there is nothing for us to do.” Sejin started to pack his papers mentally going through the list of things he needed to do before the day ended.

“But there have been several articles about them,” Jigaemae said concerned.

“Well,” Sejin stood up and started walking, “I’ll talk to Bang-PD if one of you volunteers to ask Jin or Namjoon if they’re dating.” Sejin paused at the door and waited, “no one? No takers?” The managers all looked at each other but no one said anything. “Yup didn’t think so,” Sejin said and walked out.

“On a scale of 1, they are friends, to 10 they’re totally dating, how true do you think this article is,” Hobeom asked.

Sanghyung, Hyungsoon considered and in unison said, “twelve.”

Notes:

Still part of one shot November I am going down a list of fic ideas I had and typing like a madwoman. :D Also sorry if I messed up any of the manger's names or I missed someone. I tried looking up some information but besides Sejin and the Jimin's manager I couldn't find much. Please forgive any mistake on those parts.
Fun Fact: When I first started reading fic... I was looking for something cute so I filtered out for E because I assumed E was for Everyone like in video games... it was terribly wrong. It was a funny but good learning experience.
