Summary
After gifting Shadow his den so he has somewhere safe to stay while on the run, Sonic promises to keep his fugitive identity and their growing friendship a secret so he can protect him. Meanwhile, the Wachowski's are under strict orders from G.U.N. to report any sightings of Shadow's whereabouts and are totally clueless to the stowaway hiding in their back garden.
However, Sonic’s plans to keep both sides of his life from colliding are dashed when Tails finds out he’s been sheltering Shadow, and now it’s only a matter of time before the rest of the family catch on, too.
Sonic is faced with the option to come clean and betray Shadow’s trust by admitting everything to his family, or jeopardising Maddie and Tom’s livelihoods by staying silent and deceiving G.U.N.
Unless, or course he just maintains a perfect balance without letting his two lives overlap. That should be fine so long as he can keep his (probably, maybe, definitely romantic) feelings for Shadow under wraps.
What's the worst that can happen?

“I thought… you were mad,” mumbled Megumi. “About earlier.”
Gojo paused, considering. Then he shrugged. “Answer my question first, then I’ll answer yours.”
“I don’t really want anything,” Megumi answered, flatly.
“Lots of ginger tea for you,” Gojo decided, without taking issue with Megumi's useless reply. “I’m not mad. I’m actually very upset with you. Don’t you know you’re meant to do better than that at your age?”
(or: megumi gets injured on a practice mission, gojo offers judgment, and their relationship is still complicated—unlike the dinner order gojo creates for them and tsumiki.)

Summary
Megumi was relatively certain he was about to get kidnapped. He really didn’t want to deal with that. He already had enough to going on, and spending a moment longer talking to a stranger with no concept of being young and alone and fucking hungry, Megumi wasn’t in the right mind to give a damn about what this guy had to say.

“Sorry, Yoshiki,” Hikaru groans as tears come out of one eye and more of him comes out of the other. “Ughh, I don’t – ”
Yoshiki can see how hard he’s trying to calm himself down, but it just isn’t working.
“It’s ok,” Yoshiki says, quiet. “It’s ok. Instead of shovin’ it back inside completely, can you try just...lettin’ it out? Just a little bit?”
He has no clue how any of this works, but maybe a half-measure is better than trying to force it all at once.
“Okay,” Hikaru says, but it sounds like a sob. More of the unknowable, incomprehensible swirl leaks out into the dark room.
“Yoshiki – shit – ‘m sorry but can I…” Hikaru’s face – what’s visible behind the bloom of him – twists in a small kind of agony. “Can I touch you? Not much. Just – ”
It's been years since Hikaru first took the body of Yoshiki's dead best friend. Despite everything - every horror and hurt - they managed to find a home in each other. Not quite friends or family. More and not. What they have is complicated, but precious.
But when Yoshiki escapes their small town – to college, to Tokyo – Hikaru follows. And things start to change for them both.

Summary
After weeks of hunting a serial killer who always seems to be two steps ahead of them, Special Agent Eugene Fitzherbert proposes a desperate Hail Mary: use himself as bait to draw the killer out.
In his defense, the plan does technically work. He definitely caught their killer's attention, considering he's currently drugged to the gills and strapped to an operating table in her basement. Immediately, the plan changes from catching her to just trying to survive long enough for his partner and the team to find him.
And then he realizes the killer has a ten year old son, and the plan changes again.
