Chapter Text

“That’s not right” I need to add more

“No, maybe I could just sleep?”

“It’s too much”

Seokjin sighed, running a hand through his hair as he looked at the clock on his bedside table. 4:12 AM. I’m never going to finish this in time, and I still have to run over the dance one more time to make sure I get it down for the comeback... A groan left his lips, glasses being pushed up the bridge of his nose again as his tired eyes regarded the screen in front of him. University was hard. Being in an extremely well-known idol group was hard. Seokjins very life itself was hard.

He felt his bottom lip wobble, and he hid his face in his hands as a few tears escaped his closed eyes. I can’t do anything if I feel like this, but is it safe here? Seokjin looked around. His roommate, Yoongi, was fast asleep and probably wouldn’t wake up even if he shouted him or hit him. See, Seokjin usually didn’t keep secrets from his younger best friend. Ever since Yoongi had claimed him as a roommate all those years ago, pulled him into his room one night and got his dick out to show him a mole on it just in case it was cancer, they established no secret was too weird not to share. This secret was...Probably too much though.

Seokjin was a little. He’d discovered it a while ago on a Tumblr blog he followed and researched more about it, and fell in love with it. He once tried to get himself into the mindset when his day got a little too stressful. There was no one home and he succeeded by watching cartoons and coloring in a picture of a dog. Seokjin had thought it looked a bit like Namjoons dog, so he had given it to him. To say Namjoon was confused was an understatement, but he too began researching Seokjins behavior every now and then and understood completely. In fact, when the two were alone, he indulged it. He gave Seokjin pens and paper to draw with, helped him bake cookies, helped dress him in cute boyish clothes and cuddled him whilst watching cartoons on the TV. Seokjin was thankful that he had Namjoon to look after him.

Namjoon...I wonder if he’s awake now?

Before Seokjin could stop himself, he got up and made his way out of the room, making sure to be as quiet as a mouse so he didn't wake anyone. He reached the shared room of Namjoon and Taehyung and knocked on the door. He heard soft music coming from inside, before a curse and the door was opened. Namjoon stood there shirtless as he rubbed his eyes, yawning a little. He seemed surprised to see Seokjin stood there, but he definitely wasn’t an unwelcome guest.

“W-where is Taehyung?” Seokjin spoke first, eyes wide and blinking up at the other male as he tried to get on his tiptoes to see around Namjoon. This childish behavior sparked recognition within Namjoon and he sighed, shaking his head. “Not here, baby. He stayed in Jeongguks room to play overwatch and I think he fell asleep. Come on in, I have something for you” He stepped aside and Seokjin bit his lip, frowning. “If...If it’s too late or you don’t want to look after me then...Then it’s okay. I’ll go.”

“You couldn’t be further from the truth angel. Come on, let Daddy cuddle you better baby.”

That one word was enough to get Seokjin whining, the older male moving to cuddle up to his leader with a sigh. Seokjin was normally a shy or reserved little, but with Namjoon he found himself being more open to playing and eager to be cared for. “So what’s up baby? What do you want to do?” Namjoon asked, taking a seat on his bed and pulling the eldest onto his lap with a fond smile. Seokjin played with his fingers shyly, gaze drawn to Namjoons bottom drawer of his bedside table. That was where Namjoon kept most of Seokjins toys and books safely locked away with a number lock so no one could go snooping. Namjoon caught on and placed the boy down on the bed, kissing his cheek before bending down to open the drawer. He watched Seokjins beautiful face light up in sheer delight as his toys and books were exposed and he sat on the floor cross-legged. “I want to read with you, Daddy. Can you read me a story please?”

Namjoon chuckled and nodded, reaching over to pull a few books out. “Choose one, baby” He spoke, lifting a hand to run through Seokjins hair gently, watching carefully as Seokjin picked up a book about the different animals. It was childish, sure, but Namjoon wanted to make Seokjin happy and he himself enjoyed caring for the boy. “This one!” He grinned, and Namjoon nodded once before lifting the boy back onto the bed. He was tired, but Seokjin came first. He knew that Seokjin only really got into this headspace if he was really stressed, so Namjoon wanted to care for the man and help him to relax.

“What’s your favorite type of animal, baby boy?” Namjoon asked, voice low and soothing as he got into bed with Seokjin and pulled the covers over him gently. Seokjin hummed in thought before smiling shyly, gazing up at Namjoon with wide eyes. “I really like puppies~ And I like monkeys too~” “Monkeys? Like you?” Namjoon teased and opened the book, settling down with Seokjin cuddling into his side. Seokjin giggled and shook his head, playfully pouting at Namjoon. “No...I’m a puppy!” “Sure, sure. I’m not convinced though!” Namjoon opened the book and began to read, pausing in between pages so that Seokjin could find the various animals and ask questions about them excitedly.

As Namjoon had expected, Seokjin had begun to close his eyes and yawn frequently as Namjoon neared the end of the book. He smiled fondly and got up carefully, not wanting to rouse Seokjin too much as he moved to place the book away.  “Daddy?” Seokjin asked wearily, rubbing his eyes. Namjoon was by his side in an instant, holding a small stuffed cow plushie. “Moo-moo~” He smiled, making grabby hands for the plushie and humming as Namjoon handed it over. “Daddy, baby, and Moo-Moo need to get some sleep now okay? Can you do that?” “Of course I can! Let's go to bed Daddy~ I like bed because you said big boys go to bed, and I’m a big boy~”

Namjoon chuckled fondly and slid into the bed beside Seokjin, pulling the boy close so he snuggled into his chest with a giggle. “Good night Daddy. I love you.” Seokjin spoke, voice muffled from the thumb that was placed in his mouth to relax him. Namjoon hummed, pressing a final soft kiss to Seokjins head and returning the sentiment; “Daddy loves you too. So much baby. Sleep well”

Namjoon knew that, in the morning, Seokjin would walk around with an embarrassed blush on his face and not meet his eyes for the first hour or two. He was willing to accept that though, in return for loving and holding his baby right now.
